Japanese rockers DIR EN GREY have released the following open letter expressing their feelings about this year's tragedy in their home country:
"The earthquake this March took the lives of many people, including many DIR EN GREY supporters. Now, in many places throughout the country, high radiation levels have been detected; everyone, including ourselves, has been exposed to the radiation and there are even some who say the contamination is so bad we are at risk to not be able to travel to the USA and other countries in the future.

Japan Earthquake Relief Fund Raiser
In addition to OC's Relief Drive, I will be donating any money I get from sales of my goods over the next 2 days directly to one of the various relief funds in place. Tohoku Earthquake Relief Drive (Orchestrated Chaos)
Because OC is one of our affiliates, from time to time they will ask us to post things up for them that are of utmost importance. Today, I have news that is rather top-priority to announce. Please read the following announcement.
"As you all know, the Northern part of Japan's main island of Honshu was hit by a magnitude 8.8 earthquake that generated a tsunami that has further devastated the area.
We are, each of us, very small. But working together, we can make a difference for the people who are suffering.
Gackt-san has created a donation campaign to generate funds for disaster relief. We here at OC will join our little strength with theirs, and ask you for your help.
For the next three months we will forward all donations, fund-raising, and auctions proceeds to Gackt-san's Show Your Heart Campaign.

14 years... so long for a group to have remained together and unchanged in the line up. No matter the era, no matter the song, Dir en grey has always been Dir en grey. Through the years they've traveled as one and they've come oh so far. May there be many more years in their future.

13 Years!

Wow... it's been 13 years since Dir en grey was formed. Incredible just to think about, isn't it? How long, what all they've done in that time, and so much more. It's incredible how much they've accomplished and how long it has been. Keep on going, Dir en grey!

This is about the single, "Hageshisa to, kono mune no naka de karamitsuita shakunetsu no yami", thanks to the people who bought it, it reached #2 on the Oricon Weekly Chart! This is the highest position in the history of DIR EN GREY, so we are happy!!!
This is due to this single and the Budokan being successfully advertised in different media outlets, but we are happy that we could appear on many and various media outlets.
Front Page and Back Page cover of "GiGS" and "CD Data" "BURRN!" that doesn't really feature Japanese artists "Ongaku to Hito" which we haven't appeared in a long time "ROCKIN'ON JAPAN" which was decided by their ardent/eager editor "Weekly Playboy" which we never ever imagined to be featured in. etc. It's wonderful that we were able to be featured in different media.
The very cooperative TV Asahi who we've announced as one of the main sponsors of Nihon Budoukan also did various things for us, we are also thankful that it immediately sold out.
Have you watched the "DIR EN GREY「TOUR09 ALL VISIBLE THINGS」FINAL～souzou kara kyoumei～"? It was completely filled with content from an interview revolving around the 9/15 Shinkiba STUDIO COAST, foreign tour videos, band introduction etc.
The one in charged of this Special Program, Mr. Yuudai Hirano said that after the broadcast there was a lot of good response and they were able to make a lot of suggestions to the network. They've promptly decided to rebroadcast it! If you feel inclined to please send tons of feedback to Fuji TV. We would be thankful if for the feedback of people who hasn't seen it (we want to see it, please have it on terrestrial tv, etc)!
TV Asahi, Fuji TV, MTV and including other broadcast networks, they all place importance in their customer's voices so I think that they would use everyone's feedback. So please it would make us happy if you would cooperate and bolster up DIR EN GREY.
Also,
CD stores too, considering the recent condition that music is not selling much, there were a lot of times that we couldn't grasp the availability of the CD, the initial amount (order amount before the release) was set to the max but after the release, places where it sold out kept on appearing one after another. When purchasing it if possible please make a reservation. It's a tough world...
By the way, thanks to everyone for the past few years, DIR EN GREY's number of release has not gone down at all!!!

The DVD (13 tracks) includes music clips of singles from their seventh album UROBOROS, known as the craziest and released in 16 countries around the same time, and sixth album THE MARROW OF A BONE, CONCEIVED SORROW made in slow motion of live footages from their chaotic stage, RED SOIL made by SHIROGUMI well-known as master of VFX, a full version of VINUSHKA music clip and the live version of REIKETSU NARISEBA.
